Xiesheng Chemtech,after a serious of biding procedures with project owner and EPC contractor, has successfully wined the contract to design and supply for of internals for total 9 columns of a locl PTA project.
The owner, Sichuan Shengda Chemical New Material Co. Ltd, has a total investment of 4.2 billion RMB to built a new PTA plant with capacity 1 M tons/a which is scheduled to start up and commissioning on Aug 2014.
On April 14, the second phase of CNPC's Halfaya Project kicked off. Xiesheng Chem is honoured to be the supplier for parts of its oil-water-gas three phrase separation internals. this was marked our first project to export to Iraq area.
The Halfaya project consists of three phases. The first phase project became operational in June, 2012, and now producing at a daily rate of 100,000 barrels of crude and 2.6 million cubic meters of natural gas. The second phase project, including 60 wells, a 272km long trunk pipeline, and a 5Mt/a crude processing center, is expected to be operational in the second quarter of 2014 and capable of outputting 200,000 barrels of crude per day. The third phase project, with a productivity target of 600,000 barrels per day, is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
Iceland will become the first European country to sign free trade agreement with China next week, according to Prime Minister of Iceland Johanna Sigurdardottir who kicked off her visit to Beijing on Friday. Before embarking on her flight, Sigurdardottir accepted a written interview with China Daily, saying she aims to sign the agreement during her visit to the country on April 13 to 18.
She also believes the agreement will lower the price of Chinese products in Iceland while calling the agreement "a landmark agreement" to both countries because if it gets signed, Iceland willbecome the first country in Europe to sign FTA with China, the world's second largest economy.
"This is the first free trade agreement China finalizes with a European country, and for Iceland this is a very important agreement, with one of the largest economic powers in the world," she said.
The prime minister said the minister for foreign affairs in Iceland, and minister of commerce of China will sign the agreement.
She said the free trade agreement should create increased business opportunities, facilitate trade and cooperation between our countries.
